Share by Default changes - What this means for my practice and patients?

Overview

We are inviting primary care health professionals including general practitioners, nurses, allied health and specialists to join an online information session on the My Health Record Share by Default changes.

This session will explore what better and faster access to test results means for patient care.

Learning outcomes:

·        Describe what better and faster access to pathology and diagnostic imaging results means, including reasons behind these updates and the national priorities that shaped them.

·        Apply updated knowledge of “share by default” requirements in My Health Record, including which providers must comply, key exceptions, considerations and actions prescribers need to take.

·        Identify patient resources to guide patients in understanding their tests and results and explain how patients can access and control who views their information in My Health Record.
