We would like to invite GPs to this webinar on supporting patients with concerns about PFAS exposure. Community concern around PFAS exposure and health effects can lead to anxiety and challenging consultations for general practitioners. GPs are a trusted health provider and can be the first point of contact for patients concerned about PFAS-related health effects.
The webinar will draw on public health and toxicology expertise, and risk communication principles to support GPs to manage and navigate PFAS-related health consultations effectively.
The event will include presentations on current situation in the Blue Mountains, overview of PFAS epidemiology, current evidence on health effects, and resources available to support patient consultations related to PFAS.
Prior to the webinar, GPs can send through any case studies or specific questions by 11 July 2025. Alternatively, there will be an opportunity to pose questions in the Q&A component.
