Primary care (whole of practice) plays a vital role in supporting patients impacted by abuse. This training session will build practical skills to recognise signs of harm and respond safely and compassionately. Through evidence‑informed content and practical guidance, this series supports primary care teams to play a vital role in early identification, trauma‑informed care, and effective pathways to support.
Introduction to Sexual Violence
This session focuses on recognising and responding to sexual violence across the lifespan. It covers indicators that may appear in primary care, the physical and psychological health effects, trauma informed communication, and essential considerations when discussing safety, consent, and referral pathways.
You will also meet and learn about how a Linker can support you and your practice with advice and information relating to the topic.
