Digital Health Forum for Allied Health Professionals

Overview

We would like to invite Allied Health Professionals and their practice managers to our inaugural Digital Health Forum. This free evening event will feature speakers from the Digital Health space, including topics such as AI and technology use in primary care, cybersecurity and My Health Record.

Attendees will learn more about PHN initiatives and be able to network with other healthcare professionals in the region.

Dinner will be provided. Spaces are limited.

Presenter Details

Facilitator: Jillian Harrington, Clinical Psychologist, Southern Cross Psychology

Jillian Harrington is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and is a long-standing employer and board-approved supervisor of psychologists across the career span, and occasionally of health practitioners from other disciplines.

An experienced Company Director and Graduate of the AICD, Jillian has held corporate and clinical governance roles in primary care, including as a Director of Wentworth Healthcare Limited. In 2018 Jillian was appointed to the Medicare Review Taskforce’s Mental Health Reference Group and continues to consult with government and other stakeholders in the mental health and primary care sector.

Jillian is currently the national health policy Chair of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists. She is a Director of the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council, the Chair of the Blue Knot Foundation and President of the Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia. Jillian remains passionate about improved access to high quality care in our region and is the Chair of the PHN’s Allied Health Clinical Council, and Mental Health Advisory Council.

Speakers:

Miroslav Doncevic, Managing Director, Digital Medical Systems IT

Miroslav has been involved in providing IT solutions to primary healthcare clinics since 1990. Miroslav is a Certified NIST Cybersecurity Framework Practitioner, holds a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security, and has completed a Master of Cyber Security in February 2024.

He has worked closely with the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) and Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) national conferences and training events, as a regular presenter to practice managers and doctors on cybersecurity awareness training, IT topics, including for Primary Health Networks (PHNs).
