Lithgow Nurse Education Day

Overview

Join us for a practical and engaging Primary Care Nursing Education session, designed to keep nurses up to date with key developments in general practice. This interactive session will provide valuable clinical updates, opportunities for professional networking, and insights into initiatives that support quality patient care.

Topics will include the latest National Immunisation Program schedule changes, education on effectively utilising My Health Record to enhance patient care and communication, and an overview of Quality Improvement (QI) programs that can be implemented within general practice to drive better health outcomes and meet accreditation requirements. 

This educational activity offers a valuable opportunity to learn, connect, and refresh your practice while sharing experiences and ideas with colleague.

Learning Outcomes 

  • Review recent changes to the National Immunisation Program (NIP) Schedule and apply current immunisation recommendations to support safe, evidence-based vaccination practices within primary care. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of My Health Record requirements, including accessing, uploading and using patient information appropriately. 
  • Identify opportunities to participate in and support Quality Improvement (QI) activities within general practice, using data-driven approaches to improve patient care, practice performance and accreditation outcomes.
