Overview

We would like to invite GP’s, practices nurses, practice staff and registrars to a full day of face-to-face education in Advanced Training in Suicide Prevention. The training will cover suicide risk presentations, care after a suicide attempt and supporting bereaved families. Topics also include suicide and stigma, acute management and the suicidal crisis in an interactive, self-directed learning module.

Participants will learn to identify and manage patients presenting with suicidal risk, implement a team approach to treatment, develop a collaborative safely plan and provide effective management following a suicide attempt.
