Managing Concussion in Primary Care

PENRITH

Overview

Concussion is one of the most common yet often misunderstood neurological conditions. Early recognition and effective management are important to preventing complications and ensuring a return to normal activities for patients.

GPs and GP registrars are invited to join us for an evening of networking and education on practical strategies and evidence-based approaches to concussion care.

Understanding concussion enables healthcare professionals to accurately diagnose, manage recovery effectively, and support patients in returning to daily life, work, and sporting activities.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identifying red flags in neurological presentations.
  • Assess concussion in people of all ages using relevant screening tools and investigations.
  • Formulate an approach to the management of concussion to reduce recovery time and long-term effects.
Registration starts at 6:00pm. Dinner will be provided.

This activity is awaiting RACGP approval for CPD hours.
