Introduction to Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse training: Within the context of Primary Care

Research indicates that GPs are frequently chosen by victim-survivors as the professionals to whom they disclose their experience, with 4 in 10 victim-survivors seeing advice or support from a general practitioner or other health professional.

Join us in person for a catered training dinner and learn about recognising the signs of sexual violence and child sexual abuse in a primary care setting, learn how to respond appropriately and know what referral pathways are. Our experienced GP educators and specialist sexual/child abuse linker will deliver a session that will equip you with the tools and resources to better identify patients impacted by Sexual Violence and Child Sexual Abuse and how to appropriately respond to disclosures and support services available. Pending RACGP approval for 2 EA hours and 1 RP hours.
