Rodney Titovs, Acting Clinical Senior, Child Protection Counselling Service

Rodney first started in youth work with 'street kids' in the late 1980s, before moving into the disability field. Upon completing his social work degree in 2002, Rodney worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor, followed by various roles with Corrective Services including leading a team that managed high-risk parolees. This was followed by facilitating the start-up of a homelessness program. After  4 years with Cancer Council NSW, Rodney worked as a mental health clinician and completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Mental Health (Child and Adolescent specialisation). With this qualification, Rodney moved into his current role with the Local Health District's Integrated Violence Prevention and Response Service as a  Child Protection Counsellor. In his current role, Rodney provides counselling to parents, carers and children who are in out-of-home-care, or seeking family preservation or restoration. Currently, Rodney is the acting Clinical Senior for the Nepean Blue Mountains LHD Child Protection Counselling Service. Along with all of this, Rodney specialises in ADHD and has his own lifelong lived experience as a person living with ADHD.
